By calling or using the NewHorizon Helpline service ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please discontinue use of the Service immediately.

2. Description of Service

NewHorizon Helpline is a third-party matching and referral service that connects individuals seeking addiction treatment with appropriate treatment facilities nationwide. The Service:

  • Provides information about addiction treatment options
  • Assesses individual needs and preferences
  • Connects callers with accredited treatment facilities
  • Offers guidance and support throughout the decision-making process

Important: This Service is NOT a medical provider, treatment center, or healthcare facility. No medical services, treatment, or therapeutic interventions are provided directly by this Service.

3. Third-Party Relationships

3.1 Treatment Centers

All treatment centers receiving calls through this Service are independent, third-party facilities. They are not owned, operated, or controlled by NewHorizon Helpline. Each facility:

  • Maintains its own admission policies and procedures
  • Sets its own pricing and payment terms
  • Operates independently with its own staff and management
  • Is responsible for the quality and delivery of treatment services

3.2 Advertising Disclosure

All treatment centers receiving calls from this Service are paid advertisers. The Service receives compensation from these facilities for referrals and advertising placement. This financial relationship does not influence the quality or appropriateness of facility recommendations, which are based solely on individual needs and preferences.

4. No Medical Advice

The information provided through this Service is for general informational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Specialists providing information are not acting as licensed medical professionals in the context of these calls.

You should not:

  • Rely on information from this Service as a substitute for professional medical advice
  • Delay seeking medical attention based on information provided
  • Disregard professional medical advice because of information received through this Service

Always seek the advice of qualified healthcare providers with questions regarding medical conditions or treatment.

5. Emergency Situations

This Service is NOT for emergencies. In case of a medical emergency, life-threatening situation, or immediate danger:

This helpline cannot provide emergency medical services or crisis intervention.

  • The availability of beds or treatment slots
  • Insurance coverage or payment arrangements

7. User Responsibilities

By using this Service, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and truthful information
  • Verify facility information independently before making decisions
  • Review and understand treatment center policies before admission
  • Confirm insurance coverage and payment obligations directly with facilities
  • Ask questions and seek clarification when needed
  • Make informed decisions about treatment
  • Use the Service in good faith for its intended purpose

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, NewHorizon Helpline and its operators, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any damages arising from:

  • Use or inability to use the Service
  • Treatment received or not received from any facility
  • Actions or omissions of any treatment facility
  • Reliance on information provided through the Service
  • Admission denials or facility unavailability
  • Treatment outcomes or lack thereof
  • Costs incurred for treatment services

In no event shall total liability exceed the amount paid by the user for use of the Service (which is zero, as the Service is provided at no cost to callers).

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless NewHorizon Helpline, its operators, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

10. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, logos, and materials related to NewHorizon Helpline are the property of the Service or its licensors. You may not:

  • Copy, reproduce, or distribute Service materials without permission
  • Use the Service name or branding for commercial purposes
  • Modify or create derivative works from Service content

11. Privacy

Use of this Service is subject to the Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of information as described in the Privacy Policy.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and NewHorizon Helpline regarding use of the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.

17. No Commission Disclosure

Neither this Service nor anyone who answers the helpline receives commissions based on which treatment provider you choose. Treatment facilities pay standard advertising fees regardless of whether referrals result in admissions.
